About Us Requirements & code of conduct
To qualify for ValuedShops, you must meet a number of requirements. These are primarily requirements arising from Dutch law. We have summarized these requirements in our code of conduct.
The code of conduct must be observed by active members at all times. For verification purposes, an examination takes place at the first registration, and members are also randomly checked. You are advised to go through this list independently before registering to ensure that your store meets the requirements.
To help you with this, we have created a number of simple steps to ensure that your online store immediately meets the most important requirements.
The requirements for an approval
During this check we mainly check the following things:
- - Do you have an email address listed on your website (not just a contact form)? Read here how to publish your email address without getting spam.
- - Do you have an address listed on your website (not just a mailbox)? Read here how to publish your address if it is not a visiting address.
- - Do you have a phone number on your website (may be voicemail or whatsapp only)? Read here how to publish your phone number, also when you are not always reachable. Only in your terms and conditions is not enough, also include these in a contact page or a page with company information.
- - Do you have a covering privacy statement & general terms and conditions? Download sample terms and conditions and a sample privacy policyhere
- - Are prices clearly stated? Are prices listed including VAT?

- - Are people also informed about the cooling off period outside the general conditions? Do this for example with our sample texts.
- - Do you have a valid SSL certificate for your online store?
