My stars from Google Seller Rating are not visible, how is that possible?
Google Seller Rating installed, but not visible? Google Seller Rating installed, but not visible? Now you have activated and installed Google Seller Rating and find out that the stars are not visible. This could be due to several reasons: - The online store has collected less than 100 unique reviews in the past 12 months. (Note that collecting at least 100 unique reviews does not guarantee the stars. Google has its own algorithm that they use to pick out duplicate reviews. To be sure your stars will be shown, you need to be a lot above 100.) - The 100 unique reviews are from different countries. You must have collected at least 100 unique reviews coming from one country, as the Google Seller Rating stars go by country code. - The online store has collected 100 reviews within the last 4 weeks. These are not shown (yet) due to Google indexing. - The average of the reviews is lower than 3.5 out of 5 stars. - You are using URLs with subdomains. - You have intentionally (voluntarily or accidentally) "overshadowed" the stars within your Google Ads campaigns. - Google Seller Rating stars are not visible through mobile search results. - Google Seller Rating are not product reviews from Google Shopping. When activated, Google Seller Rating does show the percentage positivity of your reviews in Google Shopping. Check whether your Google Seller Rating works You can easily check if Google Seller Rating is working, don't do this by Googling your ads yourself. Because sometimes the stars are not displayed and sometimes they are. However, you can easily check if the Google Seller Rating is working through the following url. Copy this to your address bar, replace webwinkelkeur.nl by your own domain name: https://www.google.com/shopping/ratings/account/lookup?q=webwinkelkeur.nl Do you see a review score on the page you see, then the Google Seller Rating works. Google can now display stars with your Google Ads. Per search query, Google determines whether or not they do this. Google Seller Rating stars not always visible? You may see the Google Seller Rating stars appear one time and not the next. This may be due to these reasons: - When you search multiple times (often consecutively) for the same search terms, it affects Google's search results. Both of the organic and paid results. This may cause Google to stop showing you the stars (for a while). - Google itself determines the best times to show your Google Seller Rating stars. So you may not see them sometimes. - Google remembers what you search for or have recently searched for (caching Google). Based on the cache, they determine whether the stars are relevant to you or not. - Your bidding and Ad Rank also affect whether or not the Google Seller Rating is displayed. There is no fixed value for this, but an Ad Rank of 7 or higher is advised. Practical example We would like to show you that Google sometimes displays stars and sometimes not. This has nothing to do with a non-functioning link. Search without stars Search with stars This example shows well that finding out if the Google Seller Rating works is difficult by searching your ads yourself. The only way to find out if your Google Seller Rating is working correctly is through the url as shown above. After that, whether they show stars or not will vary by search query and visitor.

More and more merchants are making the switch from another trustmark or review system. Read here what is involved to also switch to WebwinkelKeur.
Read moreHow does it work with the one-click reviews on the member page?
One-click reviews are reviews that can be collected without a written addition. This means that the customer, or consumer, can leave a review by simply clicking on a review grade. From that point on, the review is saved. The customer can then choose to add a written addition to the review. One-click reviews are shown in the promotional items (sidebar, etc.) but are not shown in the member page. Also, these reviews cannot be moderated.
Read moreIs an SSL certificate required?
Yes, WebwinkelKeur does check for an SSL certificate during its inspections. It has been mandatory since June 15, 2018 to have a secure connection with us, and we strongly recommend that you install at least SSL. It can be seen as a minimum requirement for a secure online store and therefore a legal obligation. WebwinkelKeur does not impose any obligations on the type of SSL you use. Both a cheap and an expensive variant are sufficient to meet both the legal requirements and the guidelines of WebwinkelKeur. SSL is also important for ranking well with Google: 1. Google Chrome gives a clear warning when you do not have an SSL certificate installed. If you want to appear as safe, it is wise to make the investment in an SSL certificate. Most likely, consumers will stay away from a web store that gets a clear security warning from Google Chrome. 2. Google prioritizes web stores with an SSL connection in search results. It is one of the ranking parameters of the indexing-bot. An SSL-certificate is in our opinion definitely a must, but does not necessarily mean that the web store is secure! If the security of your web store is still a high priority, then our Security Scan offers a great solution! The Security Scan package comes with the following benefits: Malware monitor; detection of viruses on your webshop Vulnerability scanning; detection of vulnerabilities on your website Uptime monitor; Know when your web store is offline Trustbadge; Showing that your store considers security important Note: as of October 2020, we are not offering a scan for the time being.
Read moreHow is the overall assessment grade structured?
Review grade The review grade is a number based on the stars you receive from customers who leave a review. This rating is displayed in the sidebar, in our widget and on your member profile. Of all the data displayed this grade is one of the most important, it will in many cases contribute to the first impression a customer has of the web store. We are happy to explain how we calculate this grade. The review grade is built from a "likert scale," in this case consisting of 1 to 5 stars that translate as a grade to a 2 to 10. According to that formula, a score of 3 stars equals a 6. This formula has the effect that a score of 1 star gives the merchant a 2 and not a 1 or 0. We calculate your average score by counting each review equally and thus averaging it. External sources You can also display reviews from external platforms on WebwinkelKeur. These reviews count equally strongly in your average. For example, if you have 100 reviews at WebwinkelKeur with an average of 9 and 100 reviews elsewhere with an average of 8, your average score will be 8.5. Effect of new review on my score: a calculation example We sometimes get the question how come one negative review changes the score downward, but one positive review does not change the score directly upward. This is usually because your score is already very high. Therefore, that positive review is much closer to the average than a negative review. To illustrate this using an example: Suppose you are now averaging a 9.7 and have 90 reviews. You get an additional 5-star review. You can then calculate your new score by the following formula: ((9.7*90)+10)/91 = 9.703 Your score remains an average of 9.7. Suppose you don't get a 5-star review, but a 1-star. Then you can calculate your new average like this: ((9.7*90)+2)/91 = 9.615 So your score now changes to a 9.6. After all, that 1 star deviates much more from your high average.

With our PLUS and PRO package it is possible to automatically send invitations to share experiences. These invitations are first queued and the time they are queued is based on your settings within the module. When an invitation to leave an experience is queued it is possible to request removal of the scheduled invitation. However, there are some ground rules here and not every invitation can be removed. For example, if the invitation is sent multiple times due to an erroneous duplicate order, one can submit a "request for deletion. Of course, technical errors can also play a role in erroneous invitations, in such cases one can also submit a 'request to delete'. However, it is not permitted to submit a "request for deletion" when there is doubt about the customer service provided and you fear a bad review. We see customer service and its consequences as a responsibility of the merchant. In any case, the request will be reviewed and assessed. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us.
Read moreHow do the percentages of reviews listed on the member page work?
Would you like to know how the percentages you see on the members page are calculated? Read more about the calculation formula behind the percentages on the WebwinkelKeur member page here: On the members page percentages are displayed. These are the percentages behind the green thumbs up (positive), orange/yellow exclamation mark (neutral), the red thumbs down (negative). In the example above, the positive percentage is 60%, Neutral 4% and negative 36%. We see 4 and 5 star ratings as positive, 3 stars as neutral and 1 and 2 stars as negative. Now the calculation of the percentages seems simple. Still, you are faced with rounding problems and we would like the total to come out to 100%. Therefore, we would like to explain exactly how we calculate the percentages. First, we calculate the percentage of positive ratings. Next, we calculate the percentage of negative reviews. We then calculate the neutral percentage by looking at "what percentage is left to arrive at the total of 100%." An example All these collected experiences together is the total for the calculation. In this example, we call this PNN. For the above example, at the time of writing: POS = 15 NEU = 1 NEG = 9 PNN = 25 Then the percentages are calculated as follows: - Positive percentage: round(POS/PNN*100) - Neutral percentage: 100 - round(POS/PNN*100) - round(NEG/PNN*100) - Negative percentage: round(NEG/PNN*100) Calculated for the above example, this is: - Positive percentage: 15/25*100 = 60% - Neutral percentage: 1/25*100 = 4% - Negative percentage: 9/25*100 = 36% In this example, the 4% corresponds exactly to 1 rating. However, due to rounding, this neutral percentage may be higher than you would expect. For example, if there are 17 positive ratings and 9 negative ones. The new calculation is then as follows: - Positive percentage: 17/26*100 = 65% - Neutral percentage: 0/26*100 = 1% - Negative percentage: 9/26*100 = 34% As you can see, there are no neutral ratings in this example, but 1% is still displayed. This is due to rounding. In our opinion, in practice this is the fairest way to display the percentages. Ratings without stars Reviews without stars do not count for our calculation, reviews without stars actually only occur if a consumer posts a review more than once within a short period of time. We then display the text, but do not count such a review towards the score.
Read moreThe sidebar is not loading, now what?
It sometimes happens that the WebwinkelKeur sidebar is not displayed for unknown reasons. In this roadmap, we'll help you figure out the problem yourself. Step 1: Is sidebar.js loaded? The first step is to verify that the script that loads our sidebar is loading. You can easily do this by looking at the page's source code. In your browser, go to the page where you expect the sidebar and right-click on an empty area. From there, choose "Show Page Source." You will now see the page's code. Click on the code and use Ctrl + F to open the search window. Next, search for "sidebar.js." If you find a code like the one below, then the sidebar is properly installed. Don't find any code? Then check the WebwinkelKeur module settings within your webshop to see if the sidebar is enabled. If necessary, try to reinstall the module. Note: do you use Lightspeed? Do not search on "sidebar.js", but on "scripts/sidebar". You should then find something similar to the code below. Step 2: sidebar code correct? Did you find the sidebar code? Then check that there are no settings in the code that disable the sidebar. For example: _webwinkelkeur_sidebar = false; deactivates the sidebar completely._webwinkelkeur_mobile = false; deactivates the sidebar only on small screens. Also check that the value _webwinkelkeur_id has the correct value. This number should match the URL of your member page. For example: if your member page is at https://www.webwinkelkeur.nl/webshop/WebwinkelNaam_1047.html, then your webshopkeur_id is 1047. Note: do you use Lightspeed? Then you first need to open the URL you found in step 1 (e.g. https://www. webwinkelkeur.nl/apps/seoshop/scripts/sidebar_13493.js). The number in the URL is not your ID but a random number. In that file you will then find the same sidebar code with your settings. Step 3: settings dashboard Did you find the code in step 1, the next step is to check if the configuration in your dashboard is correct. To do this, log on to https://dashboard.webwinkelkeur.nl and choose the right webshop (if you have more than one). In the left menu, click on Promotion and choose Sidebar. You will now see the settings for the sidebar. Check that the sidebar is not set to "disabled," and do the same for the mobile sidebar. Save changes at the bottom. It may take a while for the new settings to become visible. Step 4: Still no sidebar? Didn't find a problem in the previous steps? Then there is probably a technical problem. Often this lies in a JavaScript conflict with other parts of your website. Contact your web administrator. If he can't solve it either, feel free to contact WebwinkelKeur for support.

Now you will see on the left 'Available widgets' and on the right all kinds of places where you can place elements. These places depend on your WordPress theme. In our example, we want to place the label in the place called 'Footer column 1' in our theme. We do this by dragging the widget of type 'Custom HTML' on the left to 1 of the available spots. At 'Content' we paste the HTML code we created in step 4. At 'Title' you can optionally add a heading for the banner. Now click 'Save' and 'Done' - the promotional material is visible on your web shop (please refresh the page). Want to try another widget or banner? Then go to the 'Promotion' tab and click on 'Widget' or 'Banners'. Here you will find different versions with their own HTML code.
