Higher sales Tested as best
An important reason to become a member of WebwinkelKeur is higher turnover. We are therefore delighted to have come out on top in an independent A/B test conducted by e-commerce specialist Xsarus, the results of which were published by online marketing agency Stractive.
The results
Xsarus conducted an extensive A/B test on Phonegigant.nl. The test examined the difference in conversion between Thuiswinkel Waarborg Reviews (by Kiyoh) and WebwinkelKeur. In the test, WebwinkelKeur came out on top by far with an absolute conversion increase of 0.55%. That may seem like a low percentage, but an increase of 0.55% on a conversion rate of 3% represents an 18.3% increase in turnover. This test did not yet make use of all the possibilities offered by WebwinkelKeur.

If we assume a conservative scenario with a 15% increase in turnover, it quickly becomes clear that WebwinkelKeur pays for itself. For medium-sized online stores with, for example, €100,000 in annual sales, it can quickly generate €15,000 in sales growth. And for a start-up with sales of €5,000 per year, this already yields a profit of €750.
Difference in rating
The study indicates that the difference is due to a different average. Experience shows that a dissatisfied customer is more likely to share an experience than a satisfied customer. By lowering the threshold, the average score is higher. The in-mail reviews work as follows: consumers can give a review directly in the email, after which they only need to add a short text. We already retrieve the name, order number, and email address from the online store software. Additional information for the review is only added in step 2, but this is optional, and reviews from customers who skip this step can still be published. In some email clients, including Gmail, the review can even be completed entirely within the email. Consumers do not need to leave their email to share a review. Whatever the explanation for the difference, the end result is that WebwinkelKeur achieves a higher conversion rate. This is despite the fact that we have a strict process in place to guarantee the reliability of the reviews.

Conversion-boosting material
This test did not yet include conversion-enhancing materials such as our JavaScript integration or our widget. WebwinkelKeur always strives to be at the forefront with such tools and is one of the few parties to offer them. We expect that the results would then be even more favorable.

Independent test
The test was conducted and published entirely independently by Xsarus and Stractive; we were only informed after the results were published. We encourage such A/B tests, regardless of the outcome, because they accurately reflect the effect of a quality mark and customer reviews.
