A trustmark and review system for your WordPresswebshop? The WordPress module provides an easy integration of WebwinkelKeur within your WordPress website and WooCommercestore. For example, the module automatically integrates the innovative WebwinkelKeur sidebar in your within each WordPress website or online store and it is possible to automatically send customers a review request after delivery of their order. With WebwinkelKeur's tools you show reviews without the visitor having to leave your webshop. Besides regular reviews, you can optionally collect product reviews with your WooCommerce webshop.

Installation instructions for WordPress / WooCommerce:

For users of the WooCommerce plugin for Wordpress, the module takes care of automatically inviting customers to share a customer experience (review request). With each completed order, an invitation is automatically sent to the customer inviting them to share their experience. With reviews you increase the trust and conversion of your webshop.

Currently we support multilingual review invitations for translations done with Clonable, WPML, Gtranslate, Polylang and Weglot.

Installing Wordpress / WooCommerce modules

Integratie Wordpress / WooCommerce module voor WebwinkelKeur

Follow the steps below to install the WebwinkelKeur module in WordPress / WooCommerce.

  1. Go to your WordPress Admin Panel (usually via naamwebwinkel.nl/wp-admin/).
  2. Click on 'Plugins' > 'Add New'.
  3. Type 'WebwinkelKeur' in the search field > click on 'Search Plugin' and you will find the WebwinkelKeur module.
  4. Click on 'Install Now' next to the WebwinkelKeur plugin. Confirm when asked if you really want to install.
  5. Depending on your hosting, the plugin is now installed directly. Sometimes you may be asked for your FTP details – these are provided by your web host. If this doesn’t work or if you prefer a manual installation, the plugin can be downloaded via Wordpress.org.
  6. Once the plugin is installed, click on 'Activate Plugin'.
  7. The plugin options are now available under 'Plugins' > 'WebwinkelKeur'. Enter your personal webshop ID and API code. You can find these under 'Keurmerk plaatsen' after logging into your WebwinkelKeur account.
  8. Select whether you want to display the sidebar and whether you want to invite customers to share experiences. The number of review requests you can send per month depends on your chosen WebwinkelKeur package.
  9. Test your webshop thoroughly after installation and check for conflicts with other (JavaScript) code. Do this by placing a test order and verifying that everything works correctly. Also check if image sliders and other scripts still function properly.
  10. Additional settings, such as sidebar display or the content of review invitations, can be configured via the WebwinkelKeur dashboard.
Wordpress HTML code installation instructions

WebwinkelKeur widget & reviews install WordPress

Placing our logo and/or review widget on your WordPress webstore requires a piece of HTML. In this explanation we would like to explain how to set this up within WordPress.

  1. Login to your WebwinkelKeur account.
  2. Within the dashboard, choose 'Installation' in the menu on the left.
  3. Follow the installation until you get to Step 2 for the widget or Step 3 for the banners (logo). In this example, we will install the banner code from Step 3 of the installation page.

  1. After choosing the material you want to place on your shop, copy the HTML code which is under the material.
  2. Now log in to your WordPress environment, this can normally be done via naamwebwinkel.nl/wp-admin/
  3. In the WordPress menu on the left, choose 'Appearance' and then choose 'Widgets'.
  4. Now you will see on the left 'Available widgets' and on the right all kinds of places where you can place elements. These places depend on your WordPress theme. In our example, we want to place the label in the place called 'Footer column 1' in our theme. We do this by dragging the widget of type 'Custom HTML' on the left to 1 of the available spots. At 'Content' we paste the HTML code we created in step 4. At 'Title' you can optionally add a heading for the banner.
  5. Now click 'Save' and 'Done' - the promotional material is visible on your web shop (please refresh the page).

Want to try another widget or banner? Then go to the 'Promotion' tab and click on 'Widget' or 'Banners'. Here you will find different versions with their own HTML code.

Enable product reviews for WooCommerce

If you want to use product reviews, you must first activate this additional service within your dashboard. You can do this by going to > Reviews > Product reviews. To then collect product reviews you will need to send your customers a review request, for this it is necessary to install the WebwinkelKeur plugin for WooCommerce.

Installing product reviews

Once you have installed the WebwinkelKeur plugin for WooCommerce, you will find the configuration options under Settings > WebwinkelKeur. Here it is important that in order to use Product Reviews, there is no check mark at the option"Do not send my order information to WebwinkelKeur" (or Dutch translation).

After completing these steps, customers are given the option to review ordered products as part of the normal review process. Importantly, this option is only given to new review requests that are loaded into the dashboard after installing product reviews.

Which customers are given the option to also leave a product review can be seen within your dashboard under Invitations > Sent. Invitations with a shopping bag and the text "Contains x product(s)" will have the option to post a product review available.

Responding to product reviews

When you get new site reviews and product reviews, you will find them under Reviews > Product reviews. Publicly responding to product reviews can be done through your own WooCommerce web store, as the product reviews will also be displayed there.

Displaying product reviews on your WooCommerce shop

New product reviews are automatically synchronized with your WooCommerce store, this may cause some delay. If this does not work properly, check whether you have a checkmark under Settings > WebwinkelKeur at the option"Import product reviews to WooCommerce".

If the synchronization is working properly, all product reviews will appear in your WooCommerce webshop under Comments/Reactions.

Product reviews are not displayed on my product page

Are no product reviews displayed on your product page? First of all, check whether the synchronization of reviews is working properly. Do product reviews now appear under Comments, but are still not displayed on the product page? Check under WooCommerce > Settings > Products whether the option"Enable product reviews" is enabled.

Then check per product whether in the Advanced tab the option "Enablereviews" is on.

How do I set the correct EAN field?

WooCommerce does not have a default field for EAN codes. Hence, in the Plugin settings of WebwinkelKeur under Product reviews you have the setting GTIN/EAN key to select the correct field.

I do not have EAN codes for my products

No problem. EAN codes are not a requirement to use product reviews, they are useful because this makes it easier for Google to match product reviews to the correct product.

How do I get stars in Google?

For stars in the unpaid search results in Google, you don't have to do anything. WooCommerce completely automatically places the necessary rich snippet stars. If you also want stars in Google Shopping with your products, read the FAQ on stars in Google Shopping with Product Reviews.
