International opportunities English requirements
Our English language webshop label is based on European requirements and rules. So we do not pretend to do a complete legal check according to English law, but a check on European rules that we consider important for consumers.
Company data
Company information must be clearly visible, not just hidden in the general conditions. This includes:
- Phone number.
- E-mail address.
- Branch address (not just a PO Box).
- Chamber of Commerce number.
- VAT number.
We recommend including all these details on a contact page or on an about us page. In any case, the starting point is that these details are easy to find.
Right of withdrawal
The same requirements apply as in the Netherlands. We ask you to include the following text outside your general terms and conditions in an easily findable place.
You have the right to cancel your order within 14 days after the day you received your goods without giving any reason. You must send the goods back within 14 days after informing the trader. You will then be credited with the total amount, including shipping costs. Only the costs for returning the goods from your home to the shop are for your own account. If you use your right of withdrawal, you need to return the goods with all accessories and - if reasonably possible - in its original condition and packaging to us. To exercise this right, please contact us on UWEMAIL@uwwinkel.nl. We will give a refund within 14 days from receipt of your cancellation provided that the returned goods have been received in good order.
Warranty
Consumers should be made aware of the possibility of dispute resolution. This can be done using the sample text below. Place it in a conspicuous place (not hidden in the general terms and conditions).
We encourage you to notify us of complaints by sending an email to info@jouwwebwinkel.nl. If this does not lead to a solution, it is possible to sign up for dispute mediation by WebwinkelKeur/ValuedShops.
