About Us Careers at ValuedShops

Will you be our new Onboarding Specialist?

First, a little about us

At ValuedShops, we work every day to make e-commerce safer and more reliable. We do this through our trustmark, legal support, complaint and dispute mediation, and an advanced review system that helps online stores build their online reputation.

Our software is now used by more than just ValuedShops; several international trustmarks also rely on our technology. With our in-house development team, we’re constantly improving the platform and developing new features.

We’ve since grown to become the market leader, with nearly 10,000 online stores using ValuedShops. Yet as an organization, we’ve deliberately remained compact and accessible. We’re not a cumbersome company with endless layers of bureaucracy, but one with short lines of communication and direct contact with each other and our members.

We believe that good software doesn’t have to be complicated or unaffordable. Our foundation is actually very simple: good software, personalized customer service, and an affordable price.

And that’s where you come in

New online retailers sign up with ValuedShops every day. It’s your job to ensure that they not only successfully pass our review but also get the most out of their membership afterward.

You’ll help them with the legal basics, offer input on the design of their online store, and ensure that our widgets, reviews, and other features are used effectively. Sometimes via email, but you’d rather just pick up the phone.

This is a new position at ValuedShops. That means not everything is set in stone yet. You’ll have plenty of freedom to help shape the exact details of the role and figure out how we can make our onboarding process smarter and better all the time.

Here’s who you are in a nutshell

You enjoy helping people and are happy to go the extra mile to turn a new registrant into an enthusiastic member.

Experience is a plus, but we value the right attitude even more.

You:

  • have strong communication skills and are comfortable picking up the phone;
  • adapt quickly and enjoy taking the lead;
  • have business acumen without being a smooth-talking salesperson;
  • have a good sense of where someone is getting stuck and what’s needed;
  • get a boost from helping customers and getting things done;
  • speak enough English to communicate with our Bulgarian development team.

We’ll train you to become an e-commerce expert

You don’t need to be an expert when you start. We’ll teach you everything you need to know.

During your in-house training, you’ll learn, among other things:

  • the legal requirements online stores must meet;
  • how reviews and a trustmark build trust and drive conversions;
  • how to handle both positive and negative reviews;
  • how online retailers can improve their online reputation;
  • where widgets, banners, and trust elements work best;
  • which features are best suited for which type of online store.

This way, you’ll know exactly what an online store needs not only to be approved but also to successfully use ValuedShops afterward.

What will you be doing?

No two days are exactly the same. You’ll be involved with our new members from the moment they sign up and will help them until everything is set up correctly.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • conducting legal reviews of online stores and advising on areas for improvement;
  • guiding online store owners when they get stuck during the review process;
  • providing technical support for items such as widgets, banners, and integrations;
  • helping new members use the review features correctly;
  • following up with applicants if you notice they’re getting stuck;
  • conducting sales conversations with hesitant members and those who have canceled their membership;
  • answering questions from new members via email;
  • Follow up on leads and contacts from trade shows;
  • contribute ideas regarding onboarding, the website, newsletters, and webinars.

Don’t worry: you won’t have to do cold calling. Thanks to our marketing and brand recognition, we receive plenty of new sign-ups. Your challenge is to ensure that as many of these online retailers as possible get off to a successful start.

What do we offer?

  • Hours to be determined, preferably at least 32 hours per week.
  • A gross monthly salary of €3,118 to €4,003 based on a 40-hour workweek.
  • A one-year contract, with the intention of transitioning to a permanent position afterward.
  • A workspace in our brand-new office at the CeeCee in Enschede.
  • A small and friendly team with short lines of communication.
  • Plenty of freedom to suggest improvements to the onboarding process.
  • An open and informal work culture with plenty of humor.
  • Generous lunches and regular BBQs on our rooftop terrace.
  • A company-provided laptop and phone.
  • The option to work partly from home, subject to agreement.
  • A trip to Sofia to meet your Bulgarian colleagues.

Most importantly: you’ll be in a role where you can immediately see the impact of your work. You’ll help new members pass their certification process faster, make better use of ValuedShops, and ultimately stay with us longer and be more satisfied.
