More options multilingualism within Sidebar
The language setting
You can find the language setting of the sidebar by logging in at https://dashboard.webwinkelkeur.nl, then click onPromotionand chooseSidebar. Next you will arrive at the configuration page of the sidebar, where you will see the option "Multilingualism" (at least if your package supports multilingualism). Please note that after saving new settings your browser cache must be cleared to see the changes." [caption id="attachment_63009" align="aligncenter" width="825"]
Set language statically
The first option is to set the language statically. This is the best option if only a single language is used within 1 domain. Suppose you have the domains webwinkel.nl and webwinkel.de, then both webshops are (separately) registered with us. You set Dutch as the fixed language for the .nl domain and German for the .de domain.Base the language on the URL
Do you have multiple languages under 1 domain? Then your url often looks like webshop.com/en/page.html or webshop.com/de/zeite.html. With the "Base language on URL" option, our sidebar looks at the url of the page. Pages starting with "/en/" will then have an English sidebar, while those starting with "/de/" will show the sidebar in German.Base the language on the HTML code (new)
It can also happen that you have multiple languages under one domain, but the language is not specifically reflected in the url of your web store. In that case the language is often included in the HTML code. For this we have the option "Base the language on the lang attribute of the HTML tag". A mouthful, but for people with knowledge of HTML this will be easy to understand. In fact, the language of the page is often in the tag of your web store. In the code of your page, you will see, for example, [caption id="attachment_63008" align="aligncenter" width="280"]
Base the language on the browser (new)
Don't want the language of the sidebar to depend on the page being viewed? Then you can also choose to use the visitor's browser language as the leading one. A customer using an English browser will see the sidebar in English, a Dutch browser will see the sidebar in Dutch. This way you can let the customer's preferred language be leading.Reviews displayed in the sidebar
So far all the sidebar configuration options. With multilingualism, however, we have an additional setting. A single store can receive reviews in multiple languages. By default the Dutch sidebar only displays reviews given in Dutch (the average score is of course the same in each language), but you can also choose to display all reviews by default. We put a language flag next to the reviews so the visitor can see in which language the reviews are written. You can turn that option on by checking "Show experiences in other languages."
