Higher sales Tested as best
An important reason to become a member of WebwinkelKeur is higher sales. We are therefore very pleased to come out top in an independent A/B test by e-commerce specialist Xsarus whose online marketing agency Stractive published the results.
The results
Xsarus conducted an extensive A/B test on Phonegigant.nl. The test tested the difference in conversion between Thuiswinkel Waarborg Reviews (by Kiyoh) and WebwinkelKeur. In the test, WebwinkelKeur came out on top by far with an absolute conversion increase of 0.55%. That seems like a low percentage, but an increase of 0.55% on a conversion of 3% is a sales increase of 18.3%. This test did not yet use all the possibilities WebwinkelKeur offers.

If we assume a conservative scenario with 15% sales increase, it quickly becomes clear that WebwinkelKeur pays for itself. For medium-sized webshops with, say, 100,000 euro annual sales, it can quickly generate 15,000 euro sales growth. And for a starter with an annual turnover of 5,000 euro, this already yields 750 euro profit.
Difference in assessment
The study indicates that the difference is due to a different average. A possible explanation is that we use new techniques such as in-mail reviews, which make the threshold for placing a review very low. Experience shows that a dissatisfied customer is more likely to share an experience than a satisfied customer. By lowering the threshold, the average score is thus higher. The in-mail reviews work as follows: in the e-mail, consumers can immediately give a review, after which they only need to add a short text. The name, order number and e-mail address are read from the webshop software. Additional completion of the review follows only in step 2, however, this is optional and the reviews of customers who skip this step can still be published. In some email clients including Gmail, the review can even take place entirely within the email. Consumers then do not have to leave their email to share a review. Whatever the explanation for the difference, the end result is that there is a higher conversion rate with WebwinkelKeur. This while we have a strict process that guarantees the reliability of the reviews.
Conversion-enhancing material
This test did not yet include conversion-enhancing materials such as our javascript integration or our widget. WebwinkelKeur always tries to lead the way with such tools and is one of the few parties offering these tools. Our expectation is that the results would be even more favorable.

Independent test
The test was conducted completely independently and published by Xsarus and Stractive, we were only informed of the results after they were published.
